Campaigning for South Croydon

The hard-working Liberal Democrat Focus Team have drawn up a 4-point Action Plan for South Croydon. Campaigner Michael Bishopp outlines their campaigns:

• More Police - "We need more police on the beat, stronger Safer Neighbourhood teams and more CCTV in crime hot-spots."

• Tackle Graffiti and Vandalism - "We want teams to tackle graffiti and vandalism."

• Support Local Shops - "We support local shops and to stop Post Office closures. We are campaigning for lower business rates for struggling local shops."

• Cleaner Streets and Better Parks - "We are campaigning for new street name plates, repaired roads and paths, investment in Croham Hurst Woods and South Croydon Recreation Ground and for the introduction of Park Rangers."

• No More Phone Masts - "We have supported local residents in their campaigns against mobile phone masts at South Croydon bus garage and Croham Road. We will continue to oppose inappropriate plans."
